Born and raised in Silverton, Oregon, Jeff Trapp is a disciple of the guitar. He has recorded and performed as a professional musician for more than three decades. As a Rock n’ Roller he toured, worked and recorded with bands such as: Everclear, King Black Acid, The Stamen Pistils, Chris Tsefalas and many more. While touring with Everclear in the early 2000’s Jeff performed on both Late Night with Conan O’ Brien and on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
With his feet already firmly planted in the mire of Pacific Northwest grunge scene, Jeff began studying Spanish Flamenco guitar in 1999 in Portland, Oregon. He has been living part-time in Jerez De La Frontera, Spain, and studying extensively with world-renowned teachers such as Pascual De Lorca and Juan Moneo since 2000. A student of the Jerez style, his many years of study in Spain brought an acute knowledge of the technique and discipline needed to develop the power and aire that drives the flamenco guitar in effort to accompany both the cante (singing) and baile (dance).
In addition to accompanying singers and dancers Jeff has performed throughout the Pacific Northwest as either a solo guitarist or with his troupe of singers, percussionists and palmistas.
Above all Jeff understands that Flamenco is the result of cooperation and collaboration. He plays in gratitude for the lineage of his teachers in Spain, mentors and fellow musicians.
